The Education Bureau will continue to implement the Kindergarten K1 Admission Arrangement for the 2023/24 school year (hereinafter referred to as “2023/24 K1 Admission Arrangement”), and the Registration Card/Admission Pass will be used to reserve a K1 place for that school year. Therefore, parents who wish to apply for admission of their children to K1 classes in the 2023/24 school year should apply to the Education Bureau for a Registration Card/Admission Pass between September 2022 and 31 November 2022. Upon receipt of the application and provision of all the required information and documents, it normally takes six to eight weeks for the Education Bureau to process the application and issue the Registration Card by post to applicants who are eligible for assistance under the Kindergarten Education Scheme (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”).

 

If a child is eligible for education in Hong Kong but is not eligible for assistance under the Scheme, the Education Bureau will issue an Admission Pass/Letter of Acceptance for the child. The child can register and enroll in a participating kindergarten with the Admission Pass, This provided that the parents pay the full amount of school fees before deducting the Scheme’s subsidy in accordance with the school fees registration requirements of the kindergarten in which the child is registered.

 

Eligibility for Registration Certificate

• The child must be a Hong Kong resident with right of abode, right of entry or valid permission to stay in Hong Kong without any condition of stay (other than a limit of stay).
• Children enrolled in kindergarten in the 2023/24 school year must be born on or before 31 December 2020.
• Children enrolled in kindergarten in the 2022/23 school year must be born on or before 31 December 2019.
• Children born on or after 1 January 2021 are not eligible to apply.

New students admitted to our school must have their Kindergarten Registration Certificate ready for registration on the registration day in January 2022.
